On 7/8/2017, at approximately 7:40 PM, it was reported to the Raleigh Police Department that a common law robbery occurred in Pullen Park. It was reported that two suspects snatched a purse from an individual and then they fled north through Pullen Park towards the softball/baseball area. No weapon was involved in this incident. The suspects are described as a black male with dreadlocks, wearing a tan or white T-shirt, baseball hat, and carrying a backpack. The second subject is described as a black male wearing a black shirt, short hair, and wearing bluejeans.
Anyone with information about this crime should call the NC State University Police at 919-515-3000 immediately.
The campus community is always encouraged to take the following steps to keep themselves safe:
– Assailants are more likely to target individuals walking alone, on darkened or unlit paths, or who are distracted by headphones or activities such as texting.
– Walk in groups whenever possible, especially at night.

– If you feel unsafe in any situation, trust your instinct and contact University Police immediately to report suspicious activities or crimes on campus by calling 911 or 919-515-3000
