NCSU WolfAlert – Crime Warning
The University Police have received reports of multiple thefts that occurred on April 24, 2019 in both Biltmore and Jordan Halls. Victims reported that unidentified persons entered their unsecured and unattended office spaces without permission and removed money from their personal belongings. University Police are seeking assistance in identifying two persons of interest seen in the buildings around the time of the thefts.
Person of Interest #1: White female, mid-20s to mid-30s in age, approximately 5 ft 5 in height, slender build, blond hair, tan skin, wearing a floral print dress
Person of Interest #2: Black male, in his 30s, approximately 6 ft in height, clean shaven face, short dark hair, light complexion, wearing a white shirt
Anyone with information about the identity of the individuals listed or information about the crimes that were reported, are asked to contact the NC State University Police Department by calling 919-515-3000.
The campus community is always encouraged to take the following steps to keep themselves safe:
– Thieves target offices and residences where doors & windows are left unlocked or unsecured. Always lock doors and windows when you leave.
– Thieves may try to gain access into areas by using force or deception. Don’t open your door for or let someone in your office space that you don’t know.
– Thieves often look to take unattended or unsecured items, so secure personal belongings by locking them in a desk drawer, closet or other appropriate location.
– If you feel unsafe in any situation, trust your instinct and contact University Police immediately to report suspicious activities or crimes on campus by calling 911 or 919-515-3000.
