On November 5, 2019 at approximately 8:40 pm, a vehicle was taken at gunpoint in the parking lot of Wolf Village Apartments near Gorman St. The suspect is described as a black female, approximately 5’04″/180 lbs, wearing a black jacket, black pants and displaying a dark handgun. The suspect stole the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene last seen to be traveling on Gorman St. towards Western Blvd. The vehicle taken is described as a red, 2008 Jeep Liberty bearing North Carolina registration plate TAM-4183. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the NC State University Police Department at 919-515-3000.
The campus community is always encouraged to take the following steps to keep themselves safe:
– Assailants are more likely to target individuals walking alone, on darkened or unlit paths, or who are distracted by headphones or activities such as texting.
– Walk in groups whenever possible, especially at night.
