Details:
University Police responded to a dispute on Hillsborough Street adjacent to NC State campus this morning. Neither person involved in the dispute are affiliated with NC State University. Jaleel Liles was subsequently arrested on an outstanding warrant for Assault on a Female from a previous incident. A hatchet was found while Liles was being searched after the apprehension. Liles was not brandishing the hatchet during the dispute and it was not discovered until after he was arrested. A Wolf Alert was not necessary because there was no on-going threat to the campus community.
